Christiane Dowling is an Award-Winning Makeup Artist and qualified Guild Training International (GTi) Accredited Teacher.

1-2-1 Makeup Lessons and small Group Demonstrations take place at Christiane’s Home Studio in Sandhurst. where an extensive range of premium makeup products are available. It is a private and comfortable environment that will help you feel relaxed and at ease while you learn.

1-2-1 Lessons are perfect for anyone looking to gain confidence with makeup and are tailored around whatever you would like to learn. Suitable for all levels, including absolute beginners, anyone wishing to update their look or for those with more experience looking to master individual skills or techniques.

A lesson is the perfect introduction for teenagers wishing to learn correct makeup application and makes an ideal gift, either on a one to one basis or with friends. A minimum age of 13 is suggested.

Bridal Makeup Lessons are also offered and are particularly popular with those who will be doing their own makeup on their special day or who will be travelling abroad to get married. Destination weddings can be a particular challenge if your wedding is taking place in a tropical climate and you need to keep your bridal makeup flawless and camera-ready in the heat and humidity.

Beauty is timeless and Christiane has specialised tips for more mature skin for a fresh & younger look.

A standard Makeup Lesson is 2 hours, but longer times, or a course of lessons are also available. Please enquire if you would like something bespoke.

Lessons are very flexible, but will generally consist of Christiane taking you through a makeup look of your choice, step by step. Christiane will create one side of the face, clearly demonstrating each stage for you to replicate under her guidance.

All makeup and brushes required during the lesson will be provided, we have an extensive range of products available suitable for all skin types, colours and tones and from a wide range of brands. A breakdown of recommended products will be supplied at the end of your lesson.

Some of the areas that you can choose to cover in a Makeup Lesson include:

  • Makeup brushes & tools and correct use.

Regardless of your skill level, master the art of beautiful flawless makeup, whether it’s natural and classic or glamorous and dramatic. Try to resist buying new makeup before your lesson, it’s important that you invest in the ones that are right for you. We are not affiliated to any one particular makeup brand, preferring to remain completely independent and with the freedom to choose the best products from across a wide range of companies.

We are constantly researching the market to keep abreast of new releases and select only the very best from both the UK and abroad. Typical brands include MAC, Charlotte Tilbury, Stila, NARS, Huda Beauty, Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath, Giorgio Armani, Bobbi Brown, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Laura Mercier and Chanel, but the list is not exhaustive. You might not have heard of some of the names but rest assured that they are among the very best available.
